The Department of Public Relations and Information (DPRI) has published a documentation report examining serious crimes and human rights violations against Rohingya civilians in Buthidaung and Maungdaw Townships, Arakan State, from 2022 to March 2026.
According to the report, more than 1,504 Rohingya victims are documented, with records covering killings, massacres, sexual violence, arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance, torture, forced displacement, and the destruction and confiscation of civilian property.
The documentation includes individual victim records supported by eyewitness and family testimonies, photographs, videos, and other available evidence. It also highlights major incidents, including the Htan Shauk Khan Massacre of 2 May 2024 and the 5–6 August 2024 attacks near the Naf River.
DPRI says its documentation remains ongoing and calls on international organizations and accountability mechanisms to support independent investigations, preserve evidence, protect victims and witnesses, and pursue accountability for serious crimes against Rohingya civilians.
